TOKYO DELUXE
Only about 5 weeks away now!........We have been going at it day and night over the last couple months.We are having so much fun working on the pieces for this show!
And now it really feels like the whole body of work is starting to come together.
CANMANS AT COMICON
All round super star Tyke/Witness is releasing a new line of vinyl toys called Canmans.The first series has custom designed cans from Revok, Pose , Craola and DabsMyla.
The prototypes of each custom toy will be on display at Comicon this weekend.
Be sure to stop by and check them out if you are down there..and keep an eye out for them on shelves sometime in the next few months!

2 DAYS IN SAN DIEGO WITH RIME AND PERSUE.
Last Saturday morning we decided to go with Rime on a little weekend away down to San Diego.The plan was to meet up with Persue and paint a wall that he had arranged on University in North Park and check out the Viva La Revolucion art show at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
We didnt get started on the wall till late afternoon, so we spent a few hours coming up with a concept and ideas and started marking up, and then headed down to the art show to check out whats up!
After 3 unsuccessfull efforts to sneak past security and avoid the $20 entry fee ourselves and persue conceded defeat and forked up the 20 to enter...Joe on the other hand...being Joe, had no problems and walked right through!
It was a good night..
Some good artwork....some bad artwork...
But alot of good peoples..
Thanks to Peeps and Honkey Kong for holding it down like the legends they are!
As the night moved on we proceeded to an after party where Joe kept us entertained as he wooed every lady in the room with his magical dance moves he is so famouse for!
A few hours sleep later we where back at the wall and ready to finish the wall.
Pushing through the beating sun we slowly got it done.
Myla did all the letters for everyone on the wall while myself,Rime and Persue worked on characters and background.
And a bit of extra flavour from a toothless transvestite with a nice pair of see through tights so if you are lucky enough in the right light you can see his ball sack shimmering through!!..
Before we knew it was One thirty in the morning and still had the trip back to LA to deal with.
But not before Joe added the final touches on the wall that made the day!
The Nakatomi Plaza building from Die Hard(with bullet holes and helicopters and everything), and added in Doc Brown from Back To The Future hanging from the clock on one of the building characters......Proving that sometimes its the little things that make a wall!!

Static Medium is pleased to announce a very special print release with some of the biggest names in the Los Angeles graffiti scene.
Static Medium recently moved into a beautiful new space in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. To help christen the new space we invited some of our friends over to have some fun and paint a mural. This will be the first of several planned murals on our awesome new building.
The first mural on the new Static Medium compound was created by the talented team of Greg Craola Simkins, Dabs Myla, and Jersey Joe Rime.
We will release this special timed edition on July 16th, 2010 at 12:00pm PST at the low price of only $50.USD. The edition is open and will be closed after one week's time. Each giclee will be numbered and hand signed by all four artists. Each artist will also be adding hand embellishments to the print (each one will be unique in this way).

"We all spoke about doing a collaboration character wall and when you guys offered up your new studio for a spot for us to paint it, we
went there with a loose idea of how we wanted the wall to feel and how we will lay it out. We started painting in the morning and kept going till we all felt that it was finished...each of us adding bits and pieces till it was done. We were all so happy with how the wall came out we sat down to work on making a print of it!" Myla

Last weekend we made it down to Long Beach to the Queen Mary for the Ink n Iron Tattoo festival to see one of our favourite bands.....THE BRONX.As well as Hepcat the Agrolittes and many others!
Was a great day in LB, The Bronx killed it as expected...
And there was a lot of cool shit to see around the festival as well...

There was no plan to the wall exept we wanted it to be hectic and layered with all our styles!
It was a super long day...
Slowly working up the wall untill all the characters related to each other.Trying to interact them all and finding a balance between characters and design elements...
Come 3 oclock in the morning.....i think we finally hit it!!!

Earlier this week we Got together with two good friends of ours Jersey Joe Rime and Greg Craola Simkins to paint a wal in Silverlake.We had all been talking about doing a project like this for a while, A collaboration of characters!!
It was alot of fun to paint, a little bundle of chaos on the wall!
We started by laying out the design on the wall, wih everyones characters down, then all worked on the whole wall,
adding elements and shapes till it was done!
Look forward to doing more things like this....keep an eye out for more to come over the next few months!

6 DAYS IN TOKYO.
On our way back to LA, we scheduled a quick stop in Tokyo Japan.We had a great week there...full of seafood and sake, hectic streets and a bunch of photos!!
The main reason for the visit was to collect refrence for our up coming show at Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles this September.
The whole show is going to based on the ups and downs of Tokyo city.
So...a lot of photos where taken of signage, buildings and street scenes....and a lot of work on concepts and sketches for our paintings.
Wasnt too hard to find inspiration in a city full of visual stimulants!!...
Now we are back in the studio in LA, cant wait to get stuck into these paintings!!...and see where they take us!

September 12th, The Luke Dolkas Gallery will be host to an
exhibition featuring a cutting edge selection of international designers
and street artists.
"Same Streets/Different Cities, curated by SAGE, will feature works by
TRISTON EATON, LOGAN HICKS, D*FACE, SAGE, MEAR ONE, THE LONDON POLICE,
SCRIBE, FLYING FORTRESS, PEZ, DABS & MYLA, GALO, and more. This will be
the first time Portland has had a show like this. The exhibit will run
